Business Processes & Tools for Talent Management Department of Veterans Affairs
Duty First designed and developed improved talent management business processes, structures, and tools for the Corporate Senior Executive Management Office (CSEMO) within VA. CSEMO leveraged the solutions to support and augment the deployment of an automated Talent Management System.
- Utilized a project management office (PMO) with substantial process improvement and technical expertise to oversee the entire project in accordance with project management best practices.
- Completed a comprehensive functional assessment, mapping, and documentation of current VA business processes, tools, and data sources used for VA’s executive life cycle management.
- Completed a Benchmarking Study of top-performing government and private industry talent management systems and processes. The team developed recommendations which were utilized to propose and develop improved executive life cycle management processes and tools.
- Completed a robust Business Process and System Re-Engineering Report with standardized products such as tracking systems, templates, reports, and program materials. The tools were used to select, customize, develop, and deploy streamlined processes to manage VA’s executive talent for the duration of the executive life cycle.
